Before you start to read the blog I want to point out a few things.

I’m a Norwegians and everything I write is translated from norwegian to the language you understand.


If you find something you don’t understand you are more than welcome to make a comment. Do it in a polite way and I will reply you in a nice way and try to explain to the best of my ability.

I’m not a chef. I’m a self-taught housewife who want to share my experiences, recipes and tips when it comes to food.I also want to bring you on a tour in my own world and share with you my best travel tips.

It’s not sure you will like everything I write. Just remember that everybody has their own way of doing things, and their own point of views on life and the world in general.

I’m not a perfectionist so when I cook I don’t use the exact unit of measure. I don’t use much salt and the rest of the spices I measure in teaspoon and tablespoon, full and half full.

Be bold and experiment with the spices so that the food is adapted to your own taste buds.

I don’t have a goal to become the best chef, but to inspire you to enjoy cooking and experimenting with spices as much as I do.

Another goal I have is to help people who lives in a different country, with a foreign language and culture, to manage on their own.

Whether it is about how to cook with ingredients available at the local market or to prevent you from being fooled.

This blog is for everybody whether you like Tunisia, cooking or just want to learn something new.
