Chicken liver is rich with iron, an essential mineral recommended by doctors for patients having anemia. Grilled chicken liver used to be a common dish in the Norwegian diet but not anymore for some particular reason.
I can assure you though that it tastes real good.
In this recipe I used chicken liver and you can use beef liver, it’s just as good and the latter is personally my favourite.
Ingredients for marinade
- 1/2 kg liver
- 1 Small spoon salt
- 3 crushed garlic cloves
- 1 small spoon pepper
- 2 small spoons paprika powder
- 1 small spoon ginger
- 3 small spoons cumin
- 1 small spoon turmeric
- Oil
How to prepare Grilled chicken liver
I start by cutting the liver into small pieces and mix it with oil and spices and leave it for few hours in the fridge, preferably overnight.
Grill it in a hot pan and serve it with some home-made french fries.
