Meatballs are one of our Norwegian traditional dishes. Nothing is like mom’s meatballs☺️
Here is my recipe, made in many different ways.
Beef Meatballs are often served with brown sauce, boiled potatoes and as an extra garnish carrot stew, cabbage stew or pea stew.
Ingredients
- 1 kilo of minced meat
- 2 eggs
- 1 and 1/2 onions
- 2 smallspoons pepper
- 1 and 1/2 smallpoon salt
- 4 tablespoons potato flour
- 4 tablespoons wheat flour
- 5 dl milk
How to prepare Beef Meatballs
Start by putting minced meat and salt in a kneading machine.
Let this knead a little.
Then add pepper and onion.
After that you mix milk, flour and potato flour well separately until there are no lumps and add it to the dough while the machine is running.
Finally add 2 eggs and mix them gently into the dough.
The dough should be pliable and fit soft but not too soft so you can easily use a spoon and shape balls inside your palm.
Let the dough rest in the fridge for a couple of hours before frying the meatballs with little butter in the pan.
