Indian cuisine is one of my favorites with exciting spices and flavors.
There are certainly many ways to make Indian beef stew, but here is one I like.
The Indian cuisine is known for its strong food, I moderate the spice a bit so that it does not become so strong.
Indian dishes are often colorful and have a lot of taste and flavor.
Many of the traditional dishes have several common features or are similar to each other.
The variation on the same dish is different from north to south.
Ingredients
- Tablespoon of ginger or 5 cm peeled fresh ginger
- 10 cloves garlic
- 1 kg of beef cut into strips
- 10 green cardamom capsules
- 1 chopped onion
- 4 tsp peppers
- 5 cloves
- 3 cm cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp chili pepper
- 1 small spoon coriander( crush)
- 2 tsp Cumin
- Salt after taste (I used about 1 teaspoon)
- One pot of yoghurt and pot of sour cream (you can also use 6 tablespoons of natural yoghurt instead)
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- Oil
- 1/2 kg rice
How to prepare Indian beef stew
I cut the meat into strips, fry it and set it aside.
After that I take the cardamom, cloves and cinnamon in a hot pan and fry them a little so that the taste of the spice comes out.
Then I put the onion in the pan and fry it until it is shiny.
I add the meat and the rest of the spices and finally yogurt and sour cream.
Leave it to simmer until the meat is tender.
How to prepare the rice
Leave the rice in cold water for about half an hour before you use it.
First, put the rice in a saucepan with water (the water should go one index finger over the rice) with a bouillon cube and a little bit of oil. When the rice boils, turn down the heat and put the cover on and let it cook until all the water is evaporated.
This is eaten with naan bread, rice and raita if one so desires.
