We call it Kefta, others call it Kofte, good things have many names I suppose.
The origins of Kefta (kofta) come from Turkish and Arabic cuisines and there are many different variations and ingredients.
I think Kefta with Semolina is good, it’s originated from Turkey.
Ingredients
- 500 gr minced meat
- 02 eggs
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 small onion
- 3 tablespoons semolina
- 1 smallspoon kummin
- Salt after taste
- 1 smallspoon pepper
- Oil for frying
How to prepare Kefta with Semolina
Start by putting minced meat and salt in a kneading machine.
Let it knead a little.
Put the garlic and onion in a blender and mix everything well.
After that you mix semolina, kummin, Salt, pepper, Oil and add it with the blended garlic and onion to the dough while the machine is running.
Finally add 2 eggs and mix them gently into the dough.
The dough should be pliable and fit soft but not too soft so you can easily use a spoon and shape balls inside your palm.
Fry it in oil and serve it hot with whatever you want, I used Hummus this time.
