The Hammamet International Festival (مهرجان الحمامات الدولي) is an annual music, theater and dance festival held since 1964 in the coastal city of Hammamet in Tunisia.
It is held in July and August in the 1,000-seat amphitheater overlooking the sea near Dar Sebastian, a villa attached to the city’s International Cultural Center and overlooking the Gulf of Hammamet.
The Cultural Center and the festival are placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture and Heritage Preservation, which manages them and appoints the director. Funding is mainly made up of institutional grants and partnerships with private sponsors on occasion.
