Like other seafood, shrimp has high calcium, iodine and protein but low energy, also it’s a significant source of cholesterol.
Our plate today will be Marinated shrimp with rice.
Ingredients
- 500 gr shrimp
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 smallspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 red chili
- 4 garlic cloves
- Some fresh basil
- 1 lime
How to prepare marinated shrimp with rice
First I put the rice in water and let it soak for an hour.
When it’s ready, cook the rice and make the marinade for the shrimp.
The marinade contains: crushed garlic, sugar, salt, soy sauce, chili, the juice of half a lime and some olive oil.
After that I put the prawns up in the fridge until the rice is done.
When the rice is ready, I set it aside and heat a frying pan with some oil.
I let the shrimp fry for about 2 and 1/2 minutes before I turn them over and put fresh basil leaves and lime on the top.
