Piccata is an Italian dish composed of thin slices of veal and served with a sauce made of butter, lemon juice, mushroom, flour and soy sauce.
Our recipe today is piccata with beef, I tried a new twist with flat beef but i will definitely try other meats next time.
Ingredients
- 400 gr flat beef ( veal or chicken is recommended, because the flat beef takes much longer )
- 150 gr mushroom
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 dl onion water
- 2 cups liquid cream
- 1/2 tablespoon vinegar
- Oil
- Butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- A little Nutmeg
- Salt
- Pepper
How to prepare piccata with beef
First pound the meat and put it in a bowl and pour over the onion water, salt and pepper.
After that mix it and add in vinegar and oil.



Before grilling, spread the meat over with little flour.
Put some oil in the frying pan and fry the meat on both sides.
Then sprinkle little nutmeg and pepper .


Take out the meat and put butter in the pan.
Stir it into the frying juice and add the soy sauce and stir.
Add the cream and stir.
Add the meat to the sauce and cook it until the meat is tender.
At the end put in the mushroom and let it boil a little .





Served with rice.
