Skillet Red Beans and Rice Recipe is an easy dinner that takes less than 30 minutes. It’s a great Weekend meal. With easy steps you will get a meal full of protein and energy that dont coast alot of money.
Ingredients
- 300 gr minced meat
- 300 gr rice
- 250 gr red beans in a can
- 1/2 dl sweet chili sauce (medium)
- 2 cloves chopped garlic
- 1 small onion
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
How to prepare Skillet Red Beans and Rice
Leave the rice in cold water for about half an hour before you use it.
Put the rice in a saucepan with water (the water should immerse the rice about a one index finger), a bouillon cube and a little oil. When the rice boils, turn down the heat and put the cover on.
Let it cook until all the water is gone.
After that fry the onion in a frying pan with little butter. Add the minced meat and when it gets brown with the onion add the chili sauce, beans, salt and pepper and let it cook for ten minutes.
This dish goes well during cold autumn evenings or throughout the winter.
