Tacos have become a popular dish outside of Mexico. One of the most well-known varieties is in shells but the latter is not ​common in Mexico.
It’s a traditional Mexican dish consisting of corn tortilla that is rolled or folded, filled with spicy meat and various vegetables (there are also recipes without meat).
Norwegian tacos are not similar to the Mexican variant: instead of minced meat, Mexicans use fresh pieces of meat and they cook it for a long time or fry it and Salsa is a “must”.
“taco dorado“, fried taco is much more common.
Salsa is better when you make it yourself than bought ready.
Ingredients
- About 450 gr minced meat
- Red beans
- 1 red pepper
- Onion
- 1 Tomato
- 1 Cucumber
- Salsa ( this time not home-made)
- corn
- Homemade taco seasoning
- sour cream
- Mozzarella cheese
- Homemade wheat tortillas
- Homemade guacamole
- Some green olives
How to prepare Tacos
First, I cook the minced meat with a little butter in the frying pan until it gets brown.
Secondly, Iadd about 4 tablespoons of homemade taco seasoning and red beansthen mix it together and leave it to simmer a bit.
I let it cool while I make the dough for the wheat tortillas and guacamole.
Since we are going to eat later on and everything has become cold, I take the tortilla and fill it with the minced meat mixture, salsa, grated mozzarella cheese and the salad and put it in the microwave .
Finally, I roll the tortilla and add sour cream, guacamole, some salsa and olives on top.
