Tunisian Tajine is also one of my favorites.
This dish is made in different ways, nothing is wrong and nothing is right, different from family to family.

I have found the one recipe that I like best and stick to it.
Tunisian Tajine is not the same as the Moroccan tajine, the Moroccan is a stew cooked in a clay pot.
Ingredients
10 eggs
1small can of sour cream
4 pieces of natural cream cheese (about 4 teaspoons of natural cream cheese)
1 pinch baking powder
1 chicken fillet
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt
A handful of grated cheese (here I have used cheddar, but you can use what you have in the fridge)
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 small onion
2 tablespoons milk
1 cup of Water
1 potato
How to prepare Tunisian Tajine
- I cut the chicken, potato and onion into small pieces.
Then I fry them in a hot pan with little oil along with the spices until the onion becomes soft. - I pour over the water and let it simmer under the lid until the potatoes are tender.
I let it cool down. - Then I whip eggs lightly and mix in sour cream, cheese, baking powder and cream cheese carefully in a bowl.
I pour over what I have cooked and mix it carefully. - Finally I pour everything into a greased baking dish.
- Bake at 180 degrees until it is golden. You can check if it done using a knife (when there is nothing sticking to the knife it is ready).
- Let it cool slightly before cutting it.
