This kitchen tool has become so popular! Here What do I need to know before I buy an air fryer.
Facts:
A frying pan is a small worktop oven made to simulate frying without immersing the food in oil. A fan circulates hot air at high speed, giving a sharp layer via browning reactions such as the Maillard reaction.
Check before you Buy Air Fryer
Since we do not have so many options, it was bought with “happiness” and we ended up with Tefal XL.
From what I have learned afterwards (should have taken a nap and done some research in advance), the most practical ones are with square shape instead of round.

There are a lot of extra equipment and regular shapes also work well.
What accessories do you need with an air fryer?
I have bought some aluminum accessories molds, a small round cake mold and a slightly bigger glass mold that I will eventually try out.
You can also use silicone molds and in short anything that is used in the oven or in the microwave applies.
Some use special aluminum foil and baking paper that are adapted to Air fryer.
I would be a little careful with plain baking paper and remember not to cover the valves where the hot air goes.
This is something new to me so I keep trying and learning.
Tips You Should Know Before you Buy an Air Fryer
- From what I’ve read it is important to put some water under the grate so there will be no burnt food residue at the bottom and gets easier to clean.
- They claim not using oil at all but from my online research some peopIe just brush oil on the food or spray it.
When it comes to all these schedules one finds on the internet so try it out, do not follow them slavishly.
In many cases they do not match or are not adapted to your type of Air fryer. As a matter of fact, there are many different brands and shapes out there går.
I got one tip about not following the table for meat, for example, rather lower the temperature a bit and let it cook longer for a more juicy result.
We have not bought the most expensive model and many say the more expensive the better you get, the same good result in the cheap ones too. Again, one must try out methods and temperatures.
What can you cook in an air fryer?
I have found many different lists of what can you cook in an air fryer and how many degrees and how long each food should take to be cooked, but from my personal experience I recommend you to try it yourself a little according to your preference: some people like their food well-fried, medium, etc…

Our experience with Air Fyer
My husband is a huge fan of this kitchen tool, he keeps making the Chicken Fillet and french fries until he’s bloated while I am a little more the old-fashioned type and not very fond of new trendy gadgets.
For me it is not a must-have item in the kitchen but my husband counts his calories and is very concerned with eating healthy so for him this is a nice thing to have.
